FEMA Seeks Feedback on First Draft of HSEEP Doctrine

In August 2019, FEMA announced that the agency was reviewing the 2013 Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) doctrine to incorporate the lessons learned and best practices from the past six years of HSEEP’s use among the whole community’s exercise practitioners.

Comments received on HSEEP during the initial engagement period have been incorporated into a first draft. FEMA is now accepting feedback for its second round review during the period of October 16 – November 8, 2019. To provide feedback, input your comments in the Feedback Matrix spreadsheet and email it directly to HSEEP@fema.dhs.gov.

FEMA will also conduct a series of one-hour webinars that are open to anyone interested in hearing about results and updates from the initial engagement period:

  • Tuesday, October 29 at 9:00AM ET
  • Thursday, October 31 at 12:00PM ET

Access the webinars at https://fema.connectsolutions.com/hseep-2019-review and dial in at 1-800-320-4330 (Pin: 504024#).
