Virginia Project Public Health Ready Kickoff Meeting

Highlights: The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) convened local health department representatives that will soon begin working towards Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) re-recognition. All local health departments in Virginia have been successfully recognized through PPHR, and now ten health districts will begin the process of applying for PPHR re-recognition over the course of the coming year. The kickoff meeting included presentations by NACCHO and VDH staff regarding the PPHR process and criteria. NACCHO staff provided an orientation regarding the PPHR requirements and application process.
