Surge Management Workgroup October Report

Chair:  Christine Brooks; Staff: Laura Biesiadecki and Stacy Hosler

The Surge Management Workgroup held its monthly call on Oct. 24. The call began with an introduction to the new member, Carina Elsenboss from Seattle King County. Jenny Smock then spoke to the group about the abstract the workgroup submitted for the 2014 Preparedness Summit in April. The group continued discussions on specific deliverables for the workplan; however, the discussion did not lead to any specific deliverables. The group decided to explore more about the topics suggested and to see what makes sense instead of creating products hastily. The next call will cover how local public health engages (or not) with their coalitions and all of the surrounding issues.
