The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and American College of Preventative Medicine are offering an opportunity to participate in Healthy Aging Summit on July 16-17 in Washington, DC. The Summit will include presentations across a broad array of topics related to optimal living in the senior years, including emergency preparedness and response. The Summit sponsors are particularly interested in showcasing local public health experience related to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery and seeking presentations from local health departments and their partners from across all geographic regions of the US. Funding to support travel and participation in the Summit may be available for accepted abstracts from local health department presenters and other local health department leaders in healthy aging, through a application process facilitated by NACCHO (more details at a later dToolate.)
The deadline for abstract submission is Monday, Feb. 5 at 11:59 p.m., EST. For specific details on abstract submission, see https://www.eventscribe.com/2018/ACPM-HAC/assets/HASCallforAbstractsGuidelines_New.pdf
Please feel free to share with your colleagues. If you have questions or would like to coordinate on submitting an abstract, please email HealthyPeople@naccho.org.
