NORC at the University of Chicago is seeking public health professionals to contribute their thoughts and help advance the capacity of emergency preparedness during the 2017 Preparedness Summit. On behalf of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH), NORC is conducting an evaluation of the Translation, Dissemination, and Implementation of Public Health Preparedness and Response Research and Training project. The goal of the project is to accelerate the implementation of selected public health emergency preparedness resources and tools.
NORC is interested in gathering information from public health preparedness practitioners about their familiarity with and perceived usefulness of preparedness tools and resources developed through the project, in addition to potential barriers to implementation of the tools and persisting emergency preparedness information needs. Interested public health emergency preparedness staff from a from federal, state, tribal, local, and/or territorial health department, are asked to contact Noelle Miesfeld at NORC to determine eligibility to participate in a focus group. Focus group sessions will be held on Wednesday, April 26 and Thursday, April 27 from 12:00 – 1:30 pm at the 2017 Preparedness Summit.
