Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) May Update

During the month of May, NACCHO staff provided technical assistance to reviewers of three PPHR resubmission applications. These resubmissions came from agencies provisionally recognized or not recognized during the fall 2013 review. NACCHO staff also assisted PPHR state leads with setting their in-state technical reviews to prepare for application submission, including assistance with training the in-state technical reviewers. NACCHO staff continue to provide technical assistance to all fall 2014 PPHR applicants and continue to work with additional states to implement the PPHR state-supported model.

NACCHO staff also presented a poster on PPHR at the Pacific Northwest Border Health Alliance’s 2014 Cross Border Workshop in Portland, OR and continued work on products demonstrating the alignment between PPHR and the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response’s Hospital Preparedness Program capabilities.
