Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) July Report

On July 9, PPHR staff held a lunchtime meet and greet at NACCHO Annual 2014 in Atlanta. PPHR staff provided a brief overview of the program and its benefits, and afterwards attendees who were less familiar with PPHR were able to network with reviewers and representatives from recognized agencies.

Staff continued with the reviewer recruitment and selection process for the fall 2014 review. The list of participating reviewers will be finalized in early August. Staff also updated all reviewer orientation, training, and technical assistance materials and continued to provide technical assistance to fall 2014 applicants for both content and process-related inquiries.

NACCHO continues to work with additional states to implement the PPHR state-supported model. In addition to the NACCHO Annual meet and greet, these efforts included presentations at the Illinois Integrated Preparedness Summit and the Texas State Partners Meeting in July.
