Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) February Report

NACCHO is organizing an opportunity for current PPHR state leads to meet in-person for a PPHR State Lead Forum in April 2014. This Forum is designed to equip PPHR state leads with techniques and necessary information to support applicants as they seek PPHR recognition, including guidance on process and criteria items. It will also highlight opportunities to improve coordination between state and local public health preparedness and response programs and systems, with featured presentations from current PPHR state leads on promising practices.

NACCHO has been providing technical assistance to fall 2014  PPHR applicants from FL, GI, LA, MI, TN, and VA, as well as to the resubmission applicants from the fall 2013 review cycle. NACCHO is also coordinating the logistics from the PPHR recognition ceremony for all agencies recognized in 2013.  The ceremony will take place at the 2014 Preparedness Summit in Atlanta, GA.
