During the month of February, NACCHO staff hosted the annual PPHR state lead meeting at our headquarters in Washington, DC. 9 state leads from 8 states came together from February 23rd – February 24th to discuss the PPHR application and review process, PPHR applicant coordination, PPHR alignment with national programs, and PPHR statewide implementation. Additionally, NACCHO staff provided technical assistance to fall 2015 resubmission applications as well as fall 2016 applicants. NACCHO staff have begun the process of identifying exemplary practices from the fall 2015 review cycle to add to the PPHR toolkit on the NACCHO website.
NACCHO is currently in the process of collecting stories of success from PPHR recognized agencies that highlight how going through the PPHR recognition process has made each better able to complete the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) review process. Additionally, NACCHO staff have been coordinating the logistics for the PPHR Recognition Reception that is being held in conjunction with the 2016 Preparedness Summit. The ceremony will take place in Dallas, TX.
