During the month of February, NACCHO staff provided technical assistance to Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) fall 2014 resubmission applications as well as fall 2015 applicants. Based on reviewer feedback, NACCHO has also uploaded 19 exemplary practices from the fall 2014 review into the PPHR toolkit on the NACCHO website.
Staff have been working to organize a PPHR mentorship SharePoint website, to serve as a forum for new applicants to learn strategies and approaches to the PPHR process from those who have already gone through the process. NACCHO has also been collecting stories of success from PPHR recognized agencies that highlight how going through the PPHR recognition process has made each agency better able to prepare for, respond to and recover, from disasters in their communities.
Additionally, NACCHO staff have been coordinating the logistics for the PPHR Recognition Reception that is being held in conjunction with the 2015 Preparedness Summit. The ceremony will take place in Atlanta, GA.
