The Department of Health and Human Services’ Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) recently release a new planning resource designed to assist emergency preparedness professionals in planning and responding to the 2017 solar eclipse. This tool can also inform preparedness strategies for other unplanned and planned mass gatherings in rural and urban areas. More specifically, the first four sections of the resources refer to the eclipse, while the remaining sections provide emergency preparedness tools useful for any planned mass gatherings. Click here to access the planning resource.
