Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Workgroup- April Updates

The MRC Workgroup convened April 25 via conference call. During this month’s call, MRC Workgroup members were able to debrief those members who were not able to attend last month’s Preparedness Summit. Overall, the workgroup appreciates the support of NACCHO for the opportunity to travel and participate in so many ancillary events like the podcasts, the lunchtime POD exercise, and NACCHO’s MRC Booth.

Workgroup members were also able to provide feedback on NACCHO’s MRC Factors for Success eLearning module on Alerting, Activating, and Demobilizing Volunteers. The feedback offered was recorded and some changes have already been incorporated for the final roll out.

Lastly, the workgroup was updated on the status of the MRC Core Competency revision and the role the workgroup can play in the implementation of the revised Core Competencies. In the upcoming month, the workgroup will be finalizing their Factors for Success resources to the Division of Civilian Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps. They will also be preparing for the closeout of this year’s deliverables.
