The Incident Management Workgroup held its monthly call on Sept. 23. Members discussed the session abstract that the workgroup will be submitting to the 2014 Preparedness Summit. The group hopes to hold a 90-minute interactive session that walks participants through the emergency operations coordination responsibilities in Public Health Emergency Preparedness Capability 3 that public health agencies and their partners would encounter during an emergency. The group members also discussed the Peer Assessment Model Tool developed by Georgetown University. Members agreed that the project would potentially have many benefits for agency performance evaluation and improvement, but they have concerns about politics, privacy, and logistical feasibility.
