Webinar: Leveraging One Health Collaborations to Enhance Investigation Capacity
December 12 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
One Health recognizes the interconnection between human, animal, and environmental health. To better address the many One Health issues facing public health, such as vector-borne diseases and zoonoses driven by wildlife diversity, socioeconomic disparities, and extreme weather events, Arizona Department of Health Services developed a comprehensive One Health toolkit. The toolkit addresses the need for documentation outlining partner roles and responsibilities and aims to strengthen existing collaborations, foster communication, and enhance capacity for routine investigations and emergency preparedness purposes.
NACCHO invites you to join us for a webinar presentation (Thursday, December 12, 2019 2:00 PM Eastern Time) on this innovative and highly useful resource. Hear representatives from the Arizona Department of Health Services discuss the process for developing their toolkit as well as the resources included. The Coconino County Public Health Services District will also join to discuss a plague investigation and the implications of this toolkit for local health departments.
By the end of this webinar, participants should be able to:
- Discuss a One Health toolkit that provides resources and examples for improving one health collaborations and increasing capacity for investigations
- Identify potential applications for One Health collaborations; and
- Describe one example of a local health department conducting an investigation by leveraging One Health partnerships
