Public Health Radiation Preparedness Capacity Building Workshop in Washington State

The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Washington State Department of Health, are hosting a technical assistance and capacity building workshop on radiation preparedness for public health preparedness and emergency management officials. The workshop is designed for those that have done relatively little previous radiation preparedness work. Topics covered include radiation threats, radiation terminology, population monitoring, community reception centers, radiation preparedness roles, radiation resources, and more. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 1-5PM PT at the Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference in Lynnwood, Washington.
