CDC Webinar: Panoramic Look at Nation’s Largest Supply of Critical Medicines and Supplies
May 3 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of Strategic National Stockpile will host a webinar from 1:30 – 2:30 PM/ET on Wednesday, May 3 targeting public health partners. The presentation will introduce the nation’s largest supply of life-saving pharmaceuticals and medical supplies for use in a public health emergency severe enough to cause local supplies to run out. This webinar will help new and existing public health agencies better understand:
- the purpose and mission of the stockpile;
- the factors and various federal workgroups and agencies that determine which items to include in the stockpile, and
- the three major preparedness and response capabilities of the stockpile.
The webinar is open to all state, local, tribal, and territorial public health partners, including nurses, physicians, emergency planners, volunteers, and general public health staff.
