CDC Second Wednesday Webinar: Planning for Persons with Access and Functional Needs

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is hosting a webinar with two panelists presenting on inclusion of individuals with access and functional needs in preparedness planning. Denise Grimm, BCFS Health and Human Services, will discuss creating inclusive preparedness plans and considerations for mass shelter and point of dispensing (POD) plans that take into account those with access and functional needs. Alison Levy, Public Health – Seattle & King County, will be presenting on working with pharmacies for preparedness planning to address the needs of the entire community, including non-English speaking populations.

The webinar will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 PM/ ET. This presentation is intended for state and local SNS coordinators, Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) directors, public information officers, public health professionals, public health pharmacists, Cities Readiness Initiative coordinators, pediatricians, emergency preparedness managers, closed points of dispensing partners, pharmacies, and others involved in a public health response.
