Catastrophic Medical Surge Planning: Hospital Evacuation for Little or No-notice Events

The NACCHO Surge Management Workgroup invites preparedness and response professionals from local health departments and their partners to join the “Catastrophic Medical Surge Planning: Hospital Evacuation for Little or No-Notice Events” webinar on May 17, 2017 from 12:00-1:00 PM/ET. During this webinar, presenters will provide attendees with insights from their experiences providing leadership during major emergency events. Additionally, attendees will 1) gain an understanding of strategies implemented by healthcare providers and emergency responders in the initial stages of a hospital evacuation; 2) discuss the challenges of hospital evacuation when the community infrastructure is severely compromised; and 3) explore lessons learned and implications for future hospital evacuation planning, including patient tracking.
